TIME Magazine's Person of The Year Vote Is Really Troubling Me

Y'all, I have a true problem with this. To me, this is disturbing; extremely. It's that time of year when TIME Magazine scouts out their person of the year, and the top two choices are Rand Paul and Wendy Davis. I'll go into what both of them did later. But I wanna analyze something first.

The link to this was posted to a tumblr page, and someone thought that Davis should truly be winning this (feminist I think), so they had this signal boosted to their followers, and what used to be 67-33 Paul, it turns to this (see pic). Well one, this is the power of social media, but the question is, do they really know who did what?

What Paul Did: Rand Paul, son of former Rep. Ron Paul, got up on the Senate floor, and did something truly brave. Without warning, he started a filibuster, demanding something simple: an answer from the government whether it allowed people in the US to be killed by drone strikes. It was a simple request that should have easily been answered. But it wasn't...  It was hours before he finally got an answer early in the morning. But it highlighted something: here was a guy standing up for the Constitution, wanting to protect people domestically and in foreign countries from being blown to bits by government drones.

What Davis Did: The Texas legislature was moving to vote on new abortion industry regulations. The regulations were somewhat simple, making the clinics have a hospital they would have access to, and other things. It seemed to be pro-safety (I thought Dems were all for safe things), but the Dem Senator in Texas just didn't like it. So, with help from other Senators and pro-choice groups, she filibustered in the Texas Senate. People flooded the Capital, demanding the bill be defeated. There was violence. Twitter flourished with new users complaining about it all. Hangers and signs were waved. The bill was passed. Then she came out and said she was pro-life later.

There's a difference between the two: one wishes to protect life, the other is okay with killing it. Paul is deserving of some recognition from people. But no, let's just back the women in favour of killing unborn kids. It seems fitting though, because other famous recipients would be Hitler and Stalin. I don't really give a damn who truly get's it, but really figure out who did what, and other stuff about them before you vote for them.

Trouble Already For The New Virginia Governor

We all get it: Terry McAuliffe was an idiot who paid his way to victory and lied at every turn just to please his sheepish voters. We understand, some people like comfortable lies better than the hard truth. But in reality, that has consequences.

Appointments to McAuliffe's cabinet have begun, and one of the choices doesn't seem to have a very trustworthy character.

Meet Levar Stoney. He's going to be McAuliffe's Secretary of the Commonwealth, which means he'll be a very busy man when the new administration (sadly) takes hold in Virginia.

What's the problem with him? Not much. He's just a former Greentech Auto (wonder what that is) Executive, who was involved in some very interesting activity during the 2004 election in Wisconsin.

Back then, when he was working up there, he helped to elect Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis) elected. In his course of courting voters, he and several others from the campaign were accused of slashing tires to 25 van's that belonged to the GOP, which were supposed to help taxi people to the polls on Election Day.

When he was questioned about it, he said nothing. Simply because "he did not want to give up the names of the defendants, whom he grew close to during long days courting voters in Milwaukee."

Eventually, the FBI did get involved, which was when he spilled after coming back to Virginia. Spawned Omokunde, the Representatives son, and three others were convicted on counts of criminal property damage, however, Stoney, wasn't.

I find it somewhat unsurprising McAuliffe would make an appointment like this. It's like he needs people who are just as corrupt as him to help do the dirty work in sinking Virginia. If you voted for McAuliffe because you thought he'd not be corrupt being a newcomer to a big VA office, you've been had. Get ready to suffer through 4 years of bullshit and lies, after all, it's what you wanted.

Say Hi To Some Of The People Who Caved To The Dems Demands

We all remember that vote earlier in the week that re-opened the government fully. Well, here's a list of Democrats and Republicans that supported the measure that re-opened the government.

Via Word On The Street Is:

John Boehner was applauded on the House floor, but outrage continues to brew across the country as most conservatives view his move to give Harry Reid and Barack Obama everything they wanted in the fiscal fight as an outright betrayal. Here are the Republicans who joined Democrats to pass the bill.

John McCain Calls Louie Golhmert A Dummy

McCain is drinking way too much of that Haterade. It's seems like every time some Congressman wants to stand more for freedom and liberty, it's always McCain who comes out and calls them wacko-birds, and now plain stupid. I wanna know who's challenging this idiot when it comes time for his re-election. He needs to retire. Badly.

Via Daily Caller:
John McCain took a swipe at Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert in an interview with NBC’s Brian Williams Wednesday night.
During the interview, Williams brought up a statement Gohmert made last week at the Values Voter Summit claiming that the Republican Arizona senator supports al Qaida. Speaking at an event at the conservative conference, Gohmert referred to McCain as a “guy who’s been to Syria and supported al Qaida and rebels.”
McCain told Williams that it isn’t worth responding to someone who “has no intelligence.”
“Sometimes… comments like that are made out of malice, but if someone has no intelligence I don’t view it as being a malicious statement,” McCain said. “You know, you can’t respond to that kind of thing.”
A request for comment from Gohmert’s office was not immediately returned.

Video: Obama Says Founding Fathers Wouldn’t Approve of Tea Party

And to your left, we have our nice old dictator, completely failing on  thinking the Founding Fathers would be against the Tea Party Republicans. It's not like the Founding Fathers ever threw a revolution, filled with patriots and people wanting freedom and liberty, and small government. Not like that happened at all.

Meanwhile, I'll bet you anything, they're tossing and turning in their eternal sleep, for the country they helped give birth to is slowly destroyed. Worse of all, from the inside. Lincoln was right to say the threat wouldn't come from a foreign land, but from within.

Via Capitalism Institute:
Obama went after people who challenge Obamacare, suggesting that they think government is the “enemy”, which is somehow not “what the founders” envisioned with self-government”.
The ignorance and mental gymnastics necessary to even take this analysis seriously is simply breathtaking. First, the Tea Party isn’t an anti-government movement — it’s about limited government, which is what the founders supported. Second, the founders would have been bloody shooting by now.
Obama continues to get away with this kind of crap, and he knows exactly how he’ll get away with it: the media is overwhelmingly on his side, with a few notable exceptions. That’s why online activism is ESSENTIAL to challenging him at all.
CSN News reports, courtesy of WZ:
The president suggested that the system of checks and balances invoked by tea party Republicans in an attempt to defund Obamacare is not what the Founding Fathers had in mind.
“Let’s work together to make government work better, instead of treating it like an enemy or purposely making it work worse,” Obama said.
“That’s not what the founders of this nation envisioned when they gave us the gift of self-government.
“You don’t like a particular policy or a particular president? Then argue for your position. Go out there and win an election. Push to change it. But don’t break it. Don’t break what our predecessors spent over two centuries building. That’s not being faithful to what this country’s about.”
Conservative Republicans attempted to invoke the power of the purse, granted to them by the Constitution, to force changes to a law they believe will harm Americans as well as the economy.
Republicans repeatedly complained throughout the process that President Obama flatly refused to negotiate with them.
Here’s the video:

Note that he’s not just talking about “anarchists” or something. This is a direct reference to the Tea Party — Rand Paul and Ted Cruz types who base their entire philosophy of politics on the founding fathers and natural law.
Please spread this on Facebook and Twitter… people need to see how out of control he is. The media, like usual, will give almost no exposure to the obvious hypocrisy and dishonesty here.

Mitch McConnell Got $2.9 Billion in “Dirty Money” by Caving

I have a pretty damn good feeling this is the only reason that keeps him tethered to voting yes on the bill. Seriously, Kentucky, you better throw up a good candidate that'll challenge him come re-election. Seriously, how did y'all let this RINO get re-elected in the first place? This isn't no conservative or lover of liberty. This man just has his own agenda.

Via Capitalism Institute:

Mitch McConnell caved on the government shutdown “negotiations”, and many wondered why. If we just look at what was in the bill, we can see one obvious reason: the bill dumped $2.9 billion on a project in Kentucky. This has led to many calling it a “Kentucky kickback”.
McConnell is claiming he didn’t directly authorize it, but nobody accused him of that at all. He didn’t have to do that. After all, that’s what a bribe is — when others work to find a way to “sweeten the pot” in order to get what they want.
This is an example of DC corruption. If McConnell feels this wasn’t corruption, then he should have insisted that the money not go there — instead, he did the wrong thing and went with the cash. Pathetic. He should step down or be fired.
The Hill reports:
A conservative group is accusing Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) of including an earmark for a water project in the deal to end the government shutdown and raise the debt ceiling.
The Senate Conservatives Fund tagged the provision the “Kentucky Kickback,” and said it would benefit the Olmsted Locks and Dam, which is under construction on the Ohio River between Kentucky and Illinois.
“In exchange for funding ObamaCare and raising the debt limit, Mitch McConnell has secured a $2 billion earmark,” the group wrote in a statement. “This is an insult to all the Kentucky families who don’t want to pay for ObamaCare and don’t want to shoulder any more debt.”
The debt-ceiling bill legislation could be one of the last appropriations bill to pass before year’s end, and senators seized the opportunity to attach funding for projects and natural disasters in their home states.
Section 123 of the bill calls for increasing the authorized funding for the Olmsted Locks and Dam project to $2.9 billion.
Instead of admitting it was wrong, McConnell has decided to do what Obama has been doing, and attack Ted Cruz:
House Speaker John Boehner’s strategy collapsed. Ted Cruz’s push to use a shutdown to defund Obamacare was “not a smart play” and a “tactical error,” he said. And the country was staring at the threat of a prolonged shutdown and a potentially disastrous default on a nearly $17 trillion national debt.
Here’s Mitch McConnell right before he actually caved — just watch his behavior and you can tell he thinks he’s a very clever man here:
Spread this around. It’s time for everyone to understand that this man doesn’t represent us — and that the people want him to be gone. This isn’t about partisan politics. This is about having leaders who aren’t “caving” in convenient ways while the rest of us suffer for it.

Latest Obamacare Woes: A ‘navigator’ has warrant out for her arrest, while a leftist blogger discovers truth about the new law

The time is now to repeal the ACA. Polls show people don't like it, and congressmen and women have tried to repeal it before. But, as usual, Dems refuse to even vote on such a thing in the Senate. So for now, we just have to sit by as our healthcare system get's destroyed and mangled more and more.

Did I forget to mention the Navigators don't have the cleanest of backgrounds? My bad. Here's a great example of their "spotless" record.

Via Glenn Beck:
In the 16 days since the Obamacare exchanges launched on October 1, there has been little positive press surrounding the implementation of the President’s signature legislation. From web glitches to identity theft, lack of signups to higher costs, very little has gone the President’s way. On radio this morning, Glenn shared two more stories that are sure to make Obamacare supporters cringe.
According to the Daily Caller, a health care employee in Kansas tasked with helping individuals enroll in President Barack Obama’s signature health care program appears to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest.
TheBlaze reports:
Rosilyn Wells, 41, who is an Obamacare “certified navigator,” reportedly has an outstanding arrest warrant in Shawnee County, Kansas, according to a webpage on the local sheriff department’s website, highlighted by the Caller.
It was not immediately clear what charges were connected with Wells’ warrant.
It was also not 100 percent clear if the Rosilyn Wells with the arrest warrant is the same Rosilyn Wells that is employed by the federal government as an Obamacare “navigator.”
“Yeah, she’s the one the government decided could handle your healthcare and all your personal information,” Glenn said. “They don’t care.”
“And they’ve been told that this is one of the biggest identity theft fraud possibilities in the history of the world, probably the biggest,” Pat added. “ I mean more information is going to be stolen, we’re told, by people like McAfee than has ever been stolen in the history of the world from Obamacare.”
The other Obamacare story of the day involves ‘Tirge Caps,’ a blogger on the far-left Daily Kos website, who has penned a post complaining he and his wife are facing a nearly 100 percent increase in their monthly premiums.
“I’m not necessarily a big fan of Tirge Caps,” Glenn said, “but here’s what he wrote:”
My wife and I just got our updates from Kaiser telling us what our 2014 rates will be. Her monthly has been $168 this year, mine $150. We have a high deductible. We are generally healthy people who don’t go to the doctor often. I barely ever go. The insurance is in case of a major catastrophe.
Well, now, because of Obamacare, my wife’s rate is gong to $302 per month and mine is jumping to $284.
I am canceling insurance for us and I am not paying any f***ing penalty. What the hell kind of reform is this?
“They’re so vitriolic. If you say anything against Obamacare, you are going to be excoriated on the Daily Kos,” Pat said. “But wait until they get signed up. See, nobody signed up yet, or very few. These are just the people finding out that because of Obamacare, the insurance that they did have they now don’t get to keep, or their rates have gone way up because the insurance doesn’t work anymore under Obamacare. Wait ’til the people who absolutely have to get it, and are forced into the system, wait ’til they find out how ‘great’ it is.”
